Councillor - Herstmonceux Parish Council

After my tenure as an office assistant, I was voted in for one of the two Councillor vacancies.

Casual staff (Ad-hoc, Paid) - Chalk Farm Hotel & Learning Disabilities Centre

(2026-06)

After completing a few voluntary shifts, I was offered paid ad-hoc work as casual staff, when on-shift my responsibilities include:

• helping set up functions (weddings, wakes, birthdays)
• clearing up breakfast tables
• washing and drying up dishes and cutlery
• restocking the bar
• plating/serving food pre-prepared by the chef(s)

Voluntary - Oxfam Heathfield

I volunteered at this local charity to assist with the uploading of high value items onto their in-house E-commerce system. My role required me to work methodically with good communication skills with the other members of the team.

Voluntary - Herstmonceux Parish Council

(2026-01 - 2026-09)

Before becoming a Councillor, I volunteered at my local council office, carrying out routine office & administration duties, supporting the Clerk and Assistant Clerk in daily business duties, including: printing, copying, filing, shredding of confidential items, laminating. I also designed promotional material (presentable on request); and carried out research (quotes for repairs on parish assets). I assisted in updating the website and anything else at the request of the clerks.

I helped the Councillors with the preparation and collation of documents and displays for council meetings. Whilst volunteering I had expressed my interest in taking on a councillor role in the future.
