I believe that my skills and experiences meet the essential and desirable criteria for a research-related job like research assistant/associate or laboratory specialist, as I am a holder of a BSc in Life Sciences and a soon-to-be holder of a Master's Degree in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology. In addition, I have relevant research experience in the field of Cancer Biology, as I have just completed a six-month research project on the treatment of Cancer Stem Cells and the characterization of the compounds used for these treatments. I also have a good grasp of basic cellular and molecular techniques such as PCR, molecular cloning, and western blot which were some of the techniques covered in during my undergraduate and postgraduate degree practicals.
Finally, I believe that my ability to work as part of a team is a valuable skill that I developed throughout my life, especially in group projects during my undergraduate degree and especially as part of my Master's project.
Worked on a 6-month project titled “The anti-cancer stem cell properties and mechanism of action of copper(I)-non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug salts ” associated with the University of Leicester as a part of my master's course. I tested the effectiveness of copper(I) complexes as anti-cancer stem cell drugs and verified whether the mechanism of action against breast cancer stem cells is consistent or not with the structural design of both complexes.
