Gillian Elliott Kirk

Working in customer service, operational management and HR administration for over 15 years, I am now currently working towards my CIPD Level 5. I have developed strong skills that I believe will be very transferrable to an HR Advisor role. I believe my energy, analytic skills, organisational abilities, drive and motivation will make a positive contribution.

I’m equally comfortable working independently to meet company goals, as well as collaboratively as part of a team. I have always been able to establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers, clients and colleagues at all levels.

Responsible for overall operational integrity of the store (Annual Turnover 1.6 million)

• Handling all aspects of the recruitment process including, screening, recruitment, onboarding, off boarding, induction and training of prospective employees.
• Managing all aspects of employee welfare including employee training, performance assessment, development, probation management and performance management including investigation, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Continually developing my People Management skills by undertaking training in Mental Health and Wellbeing, inclusivity and diversity, Successful leadership.
• Ensure accurate and confidential input of data on to the HR Information System - Cascade.
• Raising and reviewing of contracts, making employee contractual amendments and processing new starters, leavers, conducting Exit Interviews.
• Retail HR Support - Advising Store Managers on HR policies and procedures and advising on absence management cases, charing and note taking ER cases. 
• Planning and delivering the monthly Assistant Store Manager meeting
• Meeting operational expectations by implementing and maintaining high store standards and communicate these to associates.
• Forecast scheduling needs and ensure sufficient associates on the floor to meet customer demand. 
• Promoting the store through marketing, events and social media.
• Full P&L responsibility.
