Fabricator with experience at Bradbury group (UK) and Perth window and door replacement company where I worked in Australia for 4 months on a working holiday visa, demonstrating someone not afraid of coming out of their comfort zone. I have demonstrated the ability to operate heavy machinery such as large steel/aluminium cutting saws and jib cranes whilst working in a factory environment. I have experience of working on construction sites/plant at British steel (steelworks), Scunthorpe.

I am working towards building a financially stable lifestyle for my future family with the hopes of buying a house in the next few years. Getting up and going to work gives me a purpose in life and drives me to become a successful person.

Welding assistant/Steel sawyer at Cougar Developments (2022-11 – 2024-03)

• Carrying out the reading and writing of task sheets for each particular security door
• Obtaining the job number and collecting the parts for the relevant job
• Fitting the parts into the doors using rivet guns whilst also using handsaws and grinders to cut box section and flat bar to the correct size using a tape measure
• Using superglue to fit any addition carbon fibre protection for specific doors
• Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth transition to the next department and ensuring targets are met

• Reading job sheets to cut each individual job to the correct size using a large aluminium saw and ensuring the security doors/screens were assembled correctly
• Making fly screens from start to finish
• Making security screens from start to finish
• Making security doors from start to finish
• Measuring and cutting of steel mesh
• Delivering window and door orders using a work van during downtime
• Labelling of each specific job ensuring they are put into the correct section to avoid confusion
• Using hand and power tools such as, grinders, rivet guns, spline rollers, wedge gasket, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, drills and more
• Taking the responsibility of working two jobs (aluminium sawyer and fabricator)
• Using large aluminium saws and setting them to the correct sizes and angles
• Changing blades on the saw when they went blunt

• Supporting heavy plant fitters by ensuring the area of their work is clean and clear of any obstructions
• Ensuring the correct PPE is always worn E.G if working near molten metal a different type of overall is needed
• Understanding of gas monitors and what to do if it goes off when working near areas exposed to gas
• Taking water samples and working closely with the lab
• Using jack hammers, shovels and wheelbarrows

• Working closely with subcontractors to show them around site and assist them with jobs such as pipe flushing
• Thinking outside the box when it comes to removing large objects from tight spaces for example tying a hitch and removing with a bobcat
