I attended Netherwood Academy and achieved all 10 of my GCSE's, and then went on to further education at Barnsley Sixth Form to study the A-Levels, Sociology, Religious studies and Psychology. I have a very strong work ethic and I can adapt my skill set quickly and efficiently in new situations to accomplish the best workload I can consistently. I can communicate and work well with others in a team, I have experience with this from my past and current jobs where I have always worked in a team.
However, I can still maintain the same drive and effort to work independently when necessary instead. Additionally I excelled in computer science in secondary school, getting an A for my grade. My main goal is to expand my knowledge and skillset to a more defined job sector such as this one, where I believe I could be utilised in the workforce in the best way possible.
I am also very flexible with my work schedule, with preferences but I am open to any shift patterns.
Production Team Member at Krispy Kreme (Present)
I have worked as a Production Team Member for Krispy Kreme for the past 10 months. In this role I gained confidence in a broad array of skills, such as completing work to a high quality under health and safety standards within strict time restraints. My basic job description was to run the production line which creates the donuts from scratch, creating usually around 20,000 units everyday which have to be to a strict standard.
Working in this role gave me a lot of experience in independent problem solving but also as I would work alongside another production team member that gave me relevant skills to work in a team as well. When working I would always have to be alert, in case any issues arose with the machines and I would then use my knowledge of our procedures to troubleshoot and to report the incidents to higher management whilst still safely operating the machine and to ensure that the surrounding staff are informed about any issues as they arise. Due to this I have adapted to be a quick learner on the job and better my problem solving skills, even when put under stressful situations.
Sanitation Team Member at Krispy Kreme
When I started my employment at Krispy Kreme I first began as a Sanitation Team Member, primarily working outside doing waste management with my main role being to take all the waste from inside the factory and that coming back from logistics and sorting it between general and food waste. I was again working in a team of 3 to complete this job highlighting my ability to work as a part of a group to complete tasks, additionally showing my resilience by being forced to work through all weather conditions and still complete my quotas. The main point I want to highlight from this role is how I was handpicked from the staff to be promoted to part of the production team as the managers observed my skills in the workplace, believing that I stood out with my work ethic.
Warehouse Operative / Outbound Department Staff at James Cargo
Additionally I have worked in a warehouse setting for the company James Cargo, starting as a general warehouse operative committing to tasks such as picking, packing, loading and offloading the trucks, but within a month being handpicked again to join the outbound department shifting my responsibilities to handling all the WRO's and returns within the warehouse. This was a very busy job as during Christmas and the following months when I worked there is when the most returns come back to the warehouse, to add to this I was the only member of staff apart from my department manager who would handle the returns. This is where I realised that I strive for hard work and to keep busy, wanting to always utilise my skills in the workplace as much as I can.
