I am Director of Bamboo Childcare, a company that specialise in sourcing permanent staff for early years and childrens social care provisions.
We pride ourselves on being honest, transparent and supportive within sectors that are both currently experiencing big challenges within recruitment and retention.
I have worked in recruitment for 25 years starting as a Recruitment Consultant within a social care agency where I worked on a temporary desk, which I built up from scratch to 2500 hours a week. I quickly progressed to Senior and then Branch Manager in the same company and took the branch to flagship status in a network of 26 other offices nationwide.
After starting a family I was fortunate enough that the company created a role for me where I managed the out of hours team for the whole company.
After 10 years of service I decided to pursue a different career path in teaching 16+ and began a role as a Placement Officer in a college whilst completing my PGDE. Part way through my training I was approached by an ex colleague to set up a new recruitment business and that was when Bamboo Childcare was born.
We specialise in permanent recruitment only and support the early years and childrens services sectors primarily. More recently we have branched out into support service roles such as HR, finance, catering and administration functions, we have done this as we have been supporting with similar roles within the sector we specialise in, so felt it natural to do in the wider job market.
