An experienced Logistics Controller possessing a broad range of customs compliance and freight legislation knowledge for importing electronics globally into the UK and EU and exporting within the EMEA region. Confident negotiating air, sea and carrier rates, reporting on performance and cost of carriers, and on boarding freight providers. A very quick reactor who keeps the supply chain going collaborating with suppliers, distributors, internal stakeholders and employment agencies, to manage operations across two warehouses and multiple third-party warehouses.
Six years’ experience controlling the inbound and outbound Logistics operation for a UK and EMEA organisation. Sending customs clearance instructions for imports that comply with current legislations, maximise the use of FTAs, and account for Royalties when applicable. Providing necessary MSDS and UN information for shipments containing LB or DG. Collaborating with Operations to manage inbound deliveries to a UK and Netherlands warehouse and third-party warehouses. Maintaining delivery dates of inbound stock to manage expectations in D365. Ensuring compliance with customers booking and delivery requirements, using multiple retailer platforms and preferred carrier schemes. Obtaining POA and POE for Non-EU shipments on Ex Works incoterms.
Manager of the department for six months during COVID, responsible for training new staff and creating and maintaining department SOPs. Taking responsibility for the company freight spend, negotiating air, sea and carrier rates, analysing and reporting on KPIs of freight cost and service level to different sectors of the business, and authorising freight invoices for payment. Working at a fast pace autonomously as well as collaboratively to find solutions to daily Logistics issues.
