I have 32 years experience in scaffolding on construction and petrochemical sites around the UK. My roles during this time has went from starting as a trainee scaffolder leading on to a basic and then advanced scaffolder. The past 5 years I have been tasked with the role of scaffolding supervisor at an onshore / offshore oil facility looking after upto 4 squads and involved in the scoping, planning and execution of jobs required for daily maintenance and large construction projects.
Involved in the building of permit to work and method statements & risk assessments and rescue plans for all scaffolding tasks on site. Part of my daily routine was to be part of meetings with the client to discuss site safety and update on scaffolding tasks. I was in control of site yard and stock management and site stores.
