Assistant Gym Manager - PureGym - Taunton, Shepton Mallet & Exeter

The AGM role in my gym was a fantastic opportunity for me to take on more responsibility and ownership of the gym and its day to day running. In summary, I: lead my team, provide business support to our PTs, manage member engagement, satisfaction & complaints, uphold gym floor standards (equipment maintenance, tidyness, cleanliness & friendliness), provide engaging classes, as well as manage schedules, hiring & onboarding and KPIs such as NPS, EBITDA & member statistics.

• Shepton mallet new site opening - 3-months pre-sale/gym opening involving creating local business connections and driving member numbers prior to opening. As a pair my general manager and I greatly exceeded expectations and targets for the club.
• Exeter Fore Street September peak - Another 3 months which involved managing the gym through one of its busiest periods and driving membership numbers to meet targets.

Personal Trainer/Fitness Coach - PureGym - Taunton

During the employed, FC, hours of this role I'd plan and deliver energetic, exciting group fitness classes, oversee the gym floor, support members and maintain facilities. The self-employed, PT, side of this role had me working one to one with clients to help them enhance their strength, conditioning and mobility while developing their confidence in resistance training. I received continuous excellent feedback from clients on my 1-1 coaching and continuously saw clients make excellent progress towards their goals.

Software Support Analyst - Funasset Ltd - Taunton

(2018-09 - 2022-10)

My primary role here was to provide ongoing support & guidance to the NHS and Local council clients using our HybridMail software. This meant responding to tickets which ranged from trivial tasks, aiding end users; to setting up custom SQL scripts and XML/HTML/C# code used for bespoke reporting or processing of data; to more complex problem solving matters such as investigating server, database, network configuration or software bug related issues. This all of course meant lots of good communication and coordination while working with the end users, administrators, customer IT teams and of course our internal support team & software developers.

• Implementation of HybridMail software on new customer sites including speccing and configuring windows servers and installing all required software (e.g. configuring appropriate server roles & features, IIS, SQL server and our own HybridMail software)
• Worked both independently and in conjunction with the customer's IT/database/network teams
• Responsible for onboarding and training of initial end users and administrators of newly installed HybridMail system

Kitchen Assistant - Chelston Gardens Nursing Home - Wellington

My part-time role as a kitchen assistant involved washing up, basic food prep, and general Kitchen maintenance, working as part of the kitchen team. The role involved regular training courses including Food Safety & Hygiene, Manual Handling, Fire Prevention & Awareness and Safeguarding.
