Job role included helping customers, making sure the delivery had been worked and getting it ready for the shelves.

• Training new staff - Helping them on tills, walking them through the procedures put in place on the shop floor, showing them the health and safety procedures and making them feel welcome
• Stock replacement - putting out the delivery, stock rotation, keeping in with FIFO rules
• Cleaning - Previously took up extra duties as a cleaner, morning and evenings, worked with a hako machine and cleaned the staff room along with the toilets
• Shop floor - when not on tills, made sure the aisles are tidy and helped customers find certain products, served customers on tills and sometimes dealt with large amounts of cash
• Rebuilding - creating a display for new products in order to encourage customers to buy new products

Paper Round Delivery - The Chronicle

Delivering pre-paid papers to certain houses, always being on time, helpful, informative and friendly. Enjoyed walking to certain houses and having a conversation with the locals.

Delivering the local paper to everyone's houses in the route. This experience demonstrated being very trustworthy and reliable, always motivated and always on time.

Volunteer - Barnardo's Charity Shop

Volunteering position, helping customers to the best of ability. Enjoyed being able to help such a good cause and it was a great positive use of time.

• Stock replacement - Put the new donations out onto the shop floor and made sure all the stock was priced correctly
• Tills - Made sure the customers were happily served and found everything they may have needed, handling of money

Gained experience in how the shop floor works and runs on a daily basis, saw how people were trained on tills and were allowed to put out the delivery stock. Found the experience challenging but enjoyed pushing self to learn more about retail.
