Restaurant Waiter - Adventure Island Catering - Southend-on-Sea
(2024-05 - 2024-10)
This job was very different and fun, probably one of my favourite jobs I had, as it was so versatile and unique. I had the responsibility to take people's order on the till for the first time, which was definitely an experience. I also had to sing in-front of the whole restaurant, as that was one of the main things you to have a talent or be able to sing to get the job role, which luckily I do sing.
That was very fun and different as one minute you be having to sing in front everyone, next minute you be on till, then you might have to waiter and had food out, and then do washing up or cleaning place down. Very non stop job which I loved, as I love being hard working and staying on my feet and keeping active and busy.
Fish and chip shop - Howards - Benfleet
(2023-02 - 2024-01)
I worked at Howard's fish n chip, just over a year. It taught me a lot of new social interactions and communication skills. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, to take responsibility of leadership roles and learn how to manage different scenarios under pressure and stay composed, and find a positive outcome.
I did also really enjoy this job as it kept me on my feet and constantly working and keeping me busy. I was mainly put on cleaning but also front of house and on food and having to take people orders.
Charity Shop Volunteer - Cornerstone Community Care - Southend-on-Sea
(2022-04 - 2023-09)
This was my first experience working. I voluntarily worked here in order to help out for a good cause. My duties here were sorting out donations, cash handling and speaking with customers. I enjoyed my time here, speaking with the regulars and making their time in the shop pleasant by being as polite and as helpful as I could be.
