I am currently a Team Manager in Marks & Spencer and have been for 6 years. I have been in many areas of retail throughout my career and been a manager for 15 years, however I am now looking to further my career and move into the the area of work that I am built for. The teaching sector.
I thrive on teaching my own children and I am eager to work and help more kids on a larger scale. This is where my passion lies.
I have 3 children and a wife, we live in Dunnikier Estate, Kirkcaldy, extremely central to the areas within this job role.
I have fantastic people skills that, allthough have not come from teaching and more Retail, I can adapt these very simply to the role. My current job is 90% people related, ensuring I get the best from my team. I would want to get the best out of the children too.
I am reliable, a fast learner and always ask questions when I am unsure. To teach is to learn yourself first.
I directly manage a team of 15 colleagues at the moment however, when managing the store, I can be managing upwards of 30 colleagues. Time management and coordination is key to success when looking after such a large team.
