Hi. I'm Jen,

I have worked in various customer facing roles where I have gained a desirable range of transferable workplace skills. These roles include sales, bar, front of house, reception, hairdressing, and public speaking for an entertainments team. My positions within these roles include managing, supervising and leading a team. 

My aim is to utilise the workplace skills I have obtained so far and devote them to steering myself in a new direction. My goal is to work somewhere I adore, in a position that excites me with career growth and progression.

Bar, Supervising and Assistant manager

• General office admin, making rotas, and responding to emails 
• Operating the Collins (design my night) online booking system, setting up areas for parties, and helping with any decorations or props 
• Leading a team of up to 8. Sometimes also with 1-3 security 
• Entering end of day totals, cashing up, and reporting the takings to the directors 
• Changing barrels, line cleaning and maintaining presentable venues 
• Keyholder responsible for Opening and locking up 
• And of course... serving a variety of drinks and chatting to customers 

• Operating the reception and organising appointments to fit into a busy salon diary 
• Consulting with customers about their end goals while managing expectations so they have an unclouded vision of what is achievable 
• Ordering supplies/products, stock control/rotation, and arranging product displays 
• Liaising with reps and suppliers, building rapport to get the best discounts and priority deals 
• Cutting, colouring, perming, and styling hair 

• Manning the reception, upselling guide books to raise money for the charity 
• I assisted the marketing manager when needed and displayed merchandise for optimum engagement 
• Presenting talks to groups of customers on the rock pool area providing fun animal facts and teaching them how safely touch/hold the animals 
• Taking bookings over the phone, fax machine, face to face or emails Tending to any requests from customers 
• Creating activity packages for groups to do on their stay
