Hello, I am a caring, reliable and experienced healthcare assistant who has worked at a large mental health hospital for the last 13 years. I currently work on a ward specialising in women with EUPD diagnosis but have worked on other wards across the hospital too such as Brain Injury, elderly care services, medium secure, PICU and forensic. I really enjoy my current job but am looking to relocate to Norfolk in the Kings Lynn area in the very near future so am looking for an opportunity there.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and my dogs, meals out with friends, long walks in the countryside, wildlife, nature, music, reading and watching most sports.
I have worked in a mental health hospital for the past 13 years supporting patients with everyday tasks and care and giving them emotional support. I am used to nursing patients with complex needs and my tasks include doing Rio notes, serving supper, helping with enhanced observations, providing mealtime support, doing safety checks on the ward, helping to distract patients with activities such as games when they are struggling, dealing with emergencies and responding to alarms on the ward and wider hospital, giving handovers to new starters and agency staff and showing them round the ward and making sure all my training is up to date.
i Have several O levels including English, Biology, Geography, History and art and also CSE’s in Maths, RS and computer studies.
I have Also done lots of on the job training in my current role such as SIT, BLS and my social care certificate.
