(1986-10 - 2019)

Hired initially by Gardener Merchant in October 1986 as a General Assistant at the Ford's stamping plant. Later transferred to the Ford Engine Plant in Dagenham, joining a dedicated catering team serving thousands of employees. Over a thirty-year tenure, adapted to numerous contractors and managers whilst undertaking many different roles and tasks. By 2019, responsibilities had vastly expanded to include:

• Worked in the kitchen in support of the chefs, preparing food for the customers
• Maintained the service counters, ensuring they were topped up and looking highly presentable
• Managed the register and cleaned the food preparation area, ensuring a sanitary working environment

Independent Carer - Ted Hennem House

(2018 - 2020)

Hired in 2018 to work as a carer for the elderly at Ted Hennem House on the weekends. Cared for three pensioners as they neared the end of their lives. Work revolved around the social aspects of care, with responsibilities including:

• Helped residents bathe
• Cooked food and put residents to bed at night
• Provided much-needed socialisation
• Communicated with residents, often acted as their sole point of contact each weekend
• Ensured individuals suffering from a litany of ailments were consistently well cared for and that their needs were met
