A skilled, published, mixed-methods researcher and consultant. My clients have included Google, BT, National Grid, BSI, Openreach, Blackstone and the Charity Commission. With a PhD in history from UCL, I also have a grounding in the latest in emotion science and sociological and anthropological theory.
I have a creative and strategic mind, excellent written and spoken communication skills, and a strong sense of empathy. I have a proven track record of self-motivation, diligence, management, and performing under pressure.
I have worked for two years in the Government and Corporate Affairs team at Yonder Consulting. In my most recent role as Consultant I have been responsible for running projects through from proposal to completion. These projects range across quant and qual with a mix of stakeholder, general public, and customer audiences. This role tends to require managing more junior staff in the delivery of the projects.
I also have some internal responsibilities, including responsibility for training in stakeholder recruitment and interview, as well as the leadership of our ‘emotions working group’ - a group set up to explore how we can better incorporate and apply emotions expertise in our research and consultative offer.
I have a history PhD from UCL. This required mastery of a predominantly qualitative skillset, although the research included a quantitative element as well. On top of this, the nature of the study required an up-to-date familiarity with certain anthropological and sociological theories and findings, as well as a close understanding of the latest in emotions research from fields such as neuroscience and psychology.
Furthermore, I have developed excellent written communication skills that are not limited to an academic style, as I have proven in my time at Yonder. My speaking engagements and teaching responsibilities also prepared me well to be able to present findings at client debriefs.
