Kacey Hickling

I am an enthusiastic and motivated 18-year-old with a strong interest in working in practical, customer-focused environments. I have recently completed my second year at college studying a Sports BTEC, following a year in Beauty Therapy, and I’ve gained valuable experience working as a waitress since 2024. Through this role, I developed strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong sense of teamwork.

I’m reliable, quick to learn, and always bring a positive attitude to the workplace. I’m now looking for a new opportunity where I can continue to grow, take on new challenges, and contribute to a supportive and hard-working team.

I have professional experience in the hospitality industry, having worked as a waitress since September 2024. This role taught me how to handle busy, high-pressure environments while providing excellent customer service. I developed strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of teamwork and time management.

I also gained practical experience working with customers, handling orders, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. I’m reliable, adaptable, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.

I recently completed a one-year BTEC Level 2 course in Sports at Exeter College, where I developed key skills such as teamwork, communication, discipline, and time management. The course included both practical and theory-based learning, giving me experience working in groups, meeting deadlines, and staying organised. Prior to that, I completed a year in Beauty Therapy at Exeter College, which helped build my confidence in working with people and delivering services in a professional setting.
