Katie Daykin

Hi! I’m Katie, a 22 year old creative based in Nottingham who loves all things illustration. I have been studying in the creative field for six years now, having completed a 2 year diploma, and a year long foundation diploma in Art and Design at college. Then recently having finished my 3 year university degree in graphic design, achieving a First Class Honours.

I have loved to draw for as long as I can remember. Illustrating is my passion, and it was my long-standing love for illustration and its many applications, that led me to choose Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University. I endeavour to create visually diverse illustrations for a variety of consumers.

In my final year I've produced outcomes including, a children's book, a museum campaign and an eco-friendly surf brand. Through choosing Graphic Design, I've acquired and developed skills and techniques to use in combination with my illustrative abilities.

Moving on from University, I would love a career within character development and illustration, working with animation houses and publishing companies. I’m a huge fan of animated films, and to have the opportunity to work within these industries would amazing.

I recently Graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Graphic Design at NTU. Prior to this, I studied Art and Design at Derby College for 3 years, achieving distinctions in both, a level 3 Diploma and a Foundation Diploma.
