• I am a self-motivated and passionate student at the University of Edinburgh studying Chinese

(Mandarin).

• I aim to develop my skills while being put into a hard working environment. I guarantee I will be a dependable and outgoing member of the team.
• I have a strong interest in languages such as Mandarin that I would be excited to bring into the workplace if needed. For my dedication of the subject, I gratefully received two awards for my Chinese studies at school. I believe this shows my ambition for high results and self-improvement.

Volunteer Teaching Assistant

Edinburgh Chinese Community School-Edinburgh

September 2022 to June 2023

My volunteering at the Edinburgh Chinese Community School gave me an insight into the world of teaching as well as creating a comfortable environment for different ages. It made me realise the different levels of respect in a workplace and how necessary they are in creating a pleasant and motivating environment. I discovered being thrust into a sometimes daunting environment can be challenging when you are developing the language but acknowledging the importance of exposure to new situations is an crucial step forward.

I believe this experience has made me a more positive and resilient person.
