I’m a careers professional with a BA (Hons) in History and a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Information, Advice and Guidance from Edinburgh Napier University.
I most recently worked as a Careers Adviser at Skills Development Scotland, where I supported young people and adults to navigate education, training, and employment pathways. My role involved one-to-one guidance, labour market analysis, and working across school and college settings within complex, multi-agency environments.
I regularly liaised with education providers, internal teams, and external partners including local authorities and support services, balancing organisational priorities, safeguarding responsibilities, and individual client needs. I often worked autonomously across institutional boundaries, building effective relationships without formal managerial authority.
Alongside my professional experience, I bring a strong background in customer service and hospitality, which has shaped my communication style, resilience, and ability to work calmly in fast-paced, people-focused environments.
I’m now looking to progress into roles where I can apply my transferable skills in stakeholder engagement, analysis, and service delivery, while continuing to develop professionally and contribute meaningful value.
