I am currently a full time student at university studying fine art. I have previously work experience in Asda as a retail assistant for 2 years and have worked as a seasonal colleague in Hollister. I enjoy working in retail, sales and customer service because of the opportunity to meet new people and being able to continue learning new skills in these fields of work. I am a fast and efficient worker, who enjoys working in fast paced environments with a positive mindset.
In Asda, I worked as a retail assistant for just over 2 years, I worked in two different departments, the first one required me to pick and pack items from shelves for online orders and packing them for home delivery as quickly and efficiently as possible. My second department would require me to display products on shelves to increase sales and make it eye caching to customers, bringing in stock to the shop floor from the warehouse and emptying cages of stock to make more space in the stock room. Keeping the stock room clean and tidy, organising the storage in the stockroom for when we need to bring them out to the shop floor and for when a colleague needs to find something specific to bring out to a customer.
Tidying the shop floor and making sure it’s at a high standard. Counting stock and being able to have an exact count for stock take. Scanning damaged products into waste. Assisting customers when needed, helping them find what they’re looking for, explaining how a product works and what they can do with them and recommending products I know they will like, while making sure they’re happy and satisfied with the service provided, being enthusiastic and passionate about the products, initiating conversations to make their experience enjoyable and magical.
I am currently in full time education at the University of East London studying fine art, I am studying in my last year and will be graduating this summer.
