Hi,my Name is Maia and I currently work at Peak school in chinley .I have worked in the care industry for 5 years and I am passionate about helping people .I have mainly worked with adults and children with learning disabilities.

while working with children with profound and multiple learning disabilities I have gained many skills including first aid ,suction training ,PEG feeding and also Epilepsy Training.

Before working with children I worked in a hospital clinical setting with adults with leaning disabilities who were being assessed on a short term assessment unit.I gained knowledge working in a clinical setting and experience with autism and other disabitlies and also severe behaviours.

I also worked in residential care working with adults with leaning disabilities in their homes previously and gained experience working with adults with autism and some eating disorders such as pika and Prader-Willie syndrome.

I gained my care certificate while working in the care sector.
