Since I left school I have worked within the retail and catering industries. In this time, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience. I can work under pressure and meet deadlines and I can also work as part of a large or small team. I have knowledge in customer services, which include communication skills, able to solve problems, thinking on my feet, being polite and honest.
I decided to change my career as I wanted to work within a school environment as a mid-day assistant and I was given a chance to be able to change my direction. I have experienced a lot of different challenges throughout the years. I am able to adapt to any situation that may arise, supervise children in my care, solve any confrontations between children. I currently work with children from KS1 and KS2. This has made me want to go further I have now completed my cache level 3 supporting and teaching in schools. I have worked in reception and year 1 helping with reading and i have done displays, interacted with the children while they play and planned my own activates with the children. I have learned to be professional, performance driven, dedicated and flexible. I also have a second job working for ABC childcare link club and holiday club for two years now, I have work with children from 2 year old to 10 year old we organise activities for the children and keep them engaged and focused. ABC childcare has now been taking over by The Cobbs nursery and infant school where my role remains the same
