I have developed strong skills in engagement, risk awareness, safeguarding, and collaborative care planning, and I regularly signpost and refer individuals to appropriate mental health and community resources to support recovery and quality of life. My approach is person-centred and strengths-based, and I am particularly interested in evidence-based psychological interventions that empower individuals to manage their symptoms independently to reach their personal goals.
My voluntary and paid work experience combined give me 3 years of extensive experience working with children, adults and elderly people with complex needs and mental health. In my current role I work with 30 individuals in the community who are apart of the 117 community aftercare treatment plan. The adults have a diverse range of multi diagnosis mental health disorders as well as cognitive and physical health disorders.
With my current and previous experience I have worked with those with Alzheimer’, Autism, Bipolar, EUPD, Psychosis, complex PTSD, trauma, Schizophrenia, Global Development Disorder, Learning Disability and more. This experience has strengthened my ability to build strong rapports with those I work with and allowed me to widen my own understanding of communication in order to support those I work with.
I am a current Forensic Psychology Masters Student due to graduate in 2028. I gained a psychology bachelors degree in 2022 at a 2:1 level. This course allows me to be a registered member of the BPS if required for a job post.
