I am an experienced senior manager within the not for profit sector who has successfully led teams of staff and volunteers within a variety of national and international charities. I am a confident and independent self-starter who thrives on the challenges of working in a complex and ever-changing environment and I have experience of designing, delivering and evaluating effective wide-ranging strategies on a local, regional and national level.
I have worked for over 20 years within a variety of different types and sizes of charity progressing to Director level. I have led teams of staff and volunteers in places such as Oxfam, NHS Blood & Transplant, Meningitis Now and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust and most recently headed up the Charity Team at the Royal Lifesaving Society UK.
Other than a variety of people management, governance and safeguarding training that I have undertaken during the course of my career in the third sector, my degree is in Tourism Management, specialising in Place Marketing.
