I have spent the last decade working within legal finance operations, in both billing and eBilling roles. I have experience in several law firms, namely Eversheds Sutherland, DWF and Freshfields Deringer Bruckhaus.
I have a firm understanding of the order to cash cycle and what behaviours and processes minimise lockup, through having been a biller, and eBiller, a team leader and most recently a manager. This has also given me the experience to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
I am a quick learner when it comes to systems, and have extensive experience with 3e and SAP. I have onboarded and managed large clients, both from a billing and an eBilling perspective. I have troubleshooted throughout onboardings, to minimise errors and maintain a strong client relationship, and where required handle complaints to bring them to a satisfactory conclusion.
I am an eager, organised and detail-orientated person, confident with liaison at all levels.
In recent months, I made a considered decision to step down from people management after several years. This is both to achieve a better work/life balance, but also to return to more hands on roles where I can bring the benefit of my experience to operational delivery. I feel that managing billing processes has given me a more rounded perspective and a drive to provide an optimum client service.
