I have a wealth of experience in retail shop floor and stockroom environments. I understand how technical aspects of a store work, such as maintaining a smoothly run and organised stock room, as well as the importance of delivering excellent customer service experiences to maintain loyalty. In my most recent role with Matalan, I was responsible for engaging with customers, managing tills and ensuring that stock was efficiently located, packed and transferred accordingly.

This includes home delivery orders and click and collect orders. When promoted to a team leader position, I took on the responsibility of running the entire store. I gained practical and expert experience in building a new stock room and managing it with strict efficiency.

Both positions demonstrate that I know managerial expectations for the role, along with practical experience of delivering an efficient service. I also have experience using stock systems and working collaboratively with my team to achieve performance targets.
