Admin Assistant & Funeral Planner - Beckenham Crematorium & Cemetery

As an individual in Beckenham Crematorium, I was promoted to the role of an 'Admin Assistant & Funeral Planner' meaning that while achieving my daily original administration duties, I would also be attending meetings with clients and families to discuss their pre paid funeral plan options. In the meetings I would be discussing with clients their wishes and having conversations with them whilst filling out their paperwork on my laptop. Resulting in me taking payments, making sure everything is logged on our system correctly and lastly sending out a personalised made booklet with their personal details on.
- Seeing in and out bereaved families into the Chapel of Rest
- Working with our Obitus system, entering in music for cremation services and checking that the time frames are correct
- Preparing and uploading paperwork onto the system making sure to proofread efficiently after paperwork has been put on
- Scanning and filing
- Training new staff members
- Managing a team of ground staff giving them set tasks to do
- Building client relationships e.g. taking clients out on our grounds to sell them graves/vaults, speaking to clients whilst discussing/organising their future plans
- Dealing with complaints, face to face or over the phone
- Invoicing clients and funeral directors
- Correspondence with clients via email & telephone
- Banking, including taking card payments online and regularly checking BACS invoices
- Online booking of use of our chapel for cremation services or burial services
