After successfully completing my degree, I began my insurance career at Norwich Union in 2002. My role there was varied and included customer support, basic underwriting of personal lines (home and motor) and resource management.
Following redundancy in 2004, I joined Friends Provident as a Service Coordinator. I was soon promoted to Senior Service Coordinator and after completing my Certificates in Financial Planning and Mortgage Advice, I was ready for my next challenge.
I secured a Trainee Life and Disability Underwriter role within the company, starting in 2007. After successfully completing my training and building my knowledge, I was promoted to Senior Life and Disability Underwriter.
Following a further redundancy at the end of 2011, I decided to expand my horizons and explored opportunities within the Commercial Insurance market. I was successful in my application to be a Multinational Client Service Executive within ACE European Group (now Chubb European Group SE).
Promoted to a Senior Client Service Executive position, I took more responsibility for training (both internally and externally) and deputised for our team leader in her absence.
After becoming a mummy in 2020, I made the difficult decision to give up commuting and spend more time with my family. Now I am ready for my next challenge in a part time role, ideally.
