I am a 64 lady, who retired early but feel I still have more to give. I have worked in patient based services most of my working life. Both in administration and face to face patient contact and would ideally like to continue in this field.
I am organised and competent. But feel friendliness and humour create a good working environment for colleagues and clients alike.
I have previously worked within school health service managing staff who prepared the work load for doctors to do school medical assessments. I left that job when I started my family. I have also previously worked at Bupa in the booking office and then approximately 15 years within the NHS in a Respiratory Technician and in the Home Oxygen Service, administratively and with face to face contact with patients.
I retired early when my eldest daughter became unwell and to help look after her then 5 year old son. He is now nearly 12 and am able to get back into the work environment.
I have worked on a ‘Bank’ basis at Nuffield hospital who at this time are unable to give me more permanent hours.
I left school on 1976 and went to Southfields College of FE. The course was The preliminary Course in Residential care where I also obtained O'Levels in Art and English.
My employment history is: Lewis's Bank as cashier 1978-1986.
Receptionist at Multibroadcast TV rentals 1986-1990.
Head of Department University Road NHS Trust 1990-1992 (first child)
Till operative Sainsbury's 1994-1995 (2nd child)
Assistant Technical Officer GGH NHS 1995-1997
Booking Clerk Bupa Leicester 1997-2001 then 3 years at home.
2004-2017 back at GGH until my early retirement due to daughters health.
