I was a Nigerian Registered Nurse, Midwife, perioperative Nurse as well as a frontline worker in various health care settings. I now work as Healthcare Support Worker in Coventry, UK.
I pay attention to details ensuring my residents always remain calm and comfortable. I was responsible for delivering a wide variety of patients’ care, from bathing and grooming, feeding, ambulating, toileting and attending to their routine and personal needs. I endeavour to always communicate effectively to patients. I also organise my day to make sure all tasks are completed as scheduled.
Highlights of my experience that make me particularly suited to the job include:
In my previous role, I have cared for critically and chronically ill patients. I have been involved in care planning with other multi-disciplinary teams.
I educate patients and encourage independence; I work with patients who have been diagnosed with life-threatening conditions. My job requires emotional stability to help patients and their families work through the treatment process.
As a senior nurse, I monitor the coordination of all patients’ activities and maintain confidentiality.
I am highly skilled in patients' care, from admission to discharge, I am an excellent team player with very good communication skills. I have excellent critical thinking skills and I can manage stress.
I am compassionate, empathic and pay attention to details. I am open to always learning new ways of doing things better.
I am optimistic with my qualifications, along with my drive and enthusiasm, make me an excellent candidate for care and support work pending the time I write my examinations to acquire my PIN as a registered Nurse in the UK.
