I am an outgoing person, confident in meeting new people and working within a team environment. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, travelling and visiting art galleries and museums. I am extremely motivated in learning new skills and strive to work hard with any given task.
Currently, I am a primary school teacher working in a 2 form entry school in Milton Keynes. I have predominantly worked in Year 5, however, have also been a teacher in Year 3 and 1. I am the school's subject leader for computing and over the last few years helped redevelop the computing curriculum and adapting the school's approach to teaching the subject with a change in scheme. I have undergone an NPQ in Leading teaching, as I aspire to progress towards a key stage/Year leader in a primary school setting.
I have also gained a qualification in teaching swimming, and become a coach for one of our trainee teachers. I liaise with the trainee's mentor on a weekly basis on targets and development, as well as work alongside the trainee on a daily basis, guiding and coaching her alongside the teacher standards.
