Natasha Mercer

I am a Brighton-based Mixed Media Textiles Artist and Designer, and a proud graduate of the Royal College of Art, where I developed a distinctive approach to combining texture, colour, and layered materials. My work explores surface, form, and composition through techniques such as embroidery, printmaking, and the integration of diverse materials—resulting in innovative, tactile, and visually engaging pieces.

Alongside my creative practice, I have extensive experience as an Engagement Project Manager in the Social Housing sector, leading resident-focused initiatives that promote co-design, amplify the voice of the customer, and support inclusive community development. I’ve worked with a large housing association to deliver projects that empower tenants and foster meaningful participation.

This dual career reflects my commitment to both creative innovation and social impact—whether I’m curating textile installations or facilitating engagement workshops. I thrive in collaborative environments and seek opportunities that connect creativity with community transformation.
