I am soon to retire from the Police following a 19-year career during which I have carried out many various roles.

Most recently I have worked as part of the Digital Media Investigations team which has seen me carry out a considerable amount of data analysis especially as part of criminal investigations and missing person enquiries. Part of the analysis has included tracking movements of digital devices and cross checking with ANPR to identify methods of transport, additionally using mapping software to produce graphical data in an easy-to-read format. I have played a part in the investigation and prosecution of serious offences such as robbery and county lines.

Most recently an OSINT practitioner using both overt and covert social media accounts and platforms. Providing intelligence reports to chief officers at both a local and force level. Main contributor of social media intelligence for planning around recent demonstrations by an activist / journalist with a national following. Complying with regulations such as the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and Directed Surveillance Authorities.

Previous experience as a response Police officer working a variety of shift patterns responding to incidents both reported by the public and identified by targeted, high visibility patrolling in both urban and rural settings. Responsible for managing numerous ongoing investigations, providing a service to victims, witnesses, and suspects of a variety of crimes. Producing files to present to the Crown Prosecution Service for use in Magistrates and Crown courts.

Delivering on a commitment for safer roads by proactive road policing dealing with offences by use of fixed penalty notices for minor offences and protracted enquiries for serious road traffic collisions.

Acting on behalf of the local coroner whilst attending sudden death incidents, preparing a coroner’s report for subsequent inquests into certain deaths.

Working on public order events such as football matches and protests having taken part in the London Olympics 2012, the G8 in Northern Ireland, and the NATO conference in South Wales.
