Respond to emergency calls with composure, making quick decisions that help to resolve high-risk situations safely and effectively. Trained in Taser use and advanced blue-light driving, enabling quick and safe decision-making under pressure. Manage difficult encounters with professionalism and control, protecting the public while de-escalating conflict wherever possible.
Alongside frontline response, carry out investigations and compile evidence to a high standard, producing reports that support legal processes. Provide safeguarding and reassurance to vulnerable people, helping them feel supported and ensuring the right follow-up is in place, while building trust within the community. Collaborate closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for both individuals and society.
Take statements, prepare case files and give evidence in court, ensuring information is clear, accurate and reliable throughout the process. Conduct searches, make arrests, and ensure that procedures are followed correctly from first response through to resolution.
