A senior academic professional with over a decade of HE and FE teaching experience, currently in an operational role with oversight of Random Interviews and Major Academic Panels for the Canterbury Christ Church University partnership at GBS. Combining credible classroom presence with the strategic and management capabilities of a Cohort Lead, I have direct experience overseeing module delivery, line-managing academic staff, driving student success and contributing to institutional KPIs across attendance, continuation, completion and assessment outcomes.

The Cohort

Lead role aligns directly with the previous responsibilities I held as a Level Lead at GBS: coordinating teaching provision, supporting at-risk students, collaborating with retention and support teams, and holding academic quality accountable against partner-university standards. My executive background; as COO and European MD in international businesses sharpens my ability to manage performance data, lead through influence, and translate institutional strategy into practical daily action for teams and students alike.

• Provide academic oversight across multiple cohorts and modules, ensuring consistent, high-quality teaching, assessment and grade submission processes in line with partner-university deadlines and standards.
• Act as the primary academic point of contact for assigned cohorts, co-ordinating across Lecturers, Student Success Tutors and retention teams to drive attendance, formative completion and summative submission rates.
• Design and maintain performance-tracking frameworks that enable early risk identification; produce weekly data and individual student risk ratings to support faculty management and Associate Dean decision-making.
• Lead and line-manage Lecturers across allocated teaching groups, conducting inductions, supporting professional development and participating in performance review and appraisal processes.
• Manage academic misconduct hearings and produce reports in accordance with Canterbury Christ Church University regulations and contractual obligations.
• Oversee student access to pastoral and academic support services, signposting individuals to wellbeing provision and facilitating timely interventions for students at risk of non-continuation.
• Representing the CCCU partnership in institutional quality forums, contributing to QA reporting and disseminating policy updates, calendars and regulatory guidance to staff and students.
• Manage student outcomes, attendance and performance across a community of 13,000+ students, balancing individual pastoral need with programme-level accountability expectations against KPIs.

• Wrote HE modules for the Hertfordshire Higher Education Consortium (a partnership between Oaklands college, other Herts. colleges and the University of Hertfordshire); Economics, Innovation and Leadership
• Designed and taught module content, assessed teaching and learning across all Access to Business HE modules at both West London College and Uxbridge College, including Marketing, Economics and Leadership.
