I am a ISTQB qualified tester with extensive knowledge on testing processes thanks to my time spent at the Ten10 testing academy as well as my 7+ years experience with industry giants such as Playstation, Miniclip and Frontier Developments. Thanks to my varied history between small teams, large teams and working solo, I believe I have a wide breadth of experience that I can bring to any role, from working as a test lead, to working entirely solo on a project, to just being a regular member of the team.
Learned the basics of testing and earned my ISTQB qualification while working at Ten10 for 2 years, which allowed my opportunities working with Historic England, bringing the agile methodologies I had learned to a previously Waterfall based group, working as the sole tester making me in charge of both the testing itself as well as the planning and documentation.
After my time with Ten10 I dived straight into the games industry, working with Playstation on Sackboy: A Big Adventure as one of the contracted QA Testers, after which I progressed to a Senior QA role with Frontier Developments, working on Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate: Deamonhunters, where I got to lead a testing team of my own.
Lastly I moved on to working for Miniclip where I was once again a standard QA tester, working now with mobile platforms and two live service games and an upcoming game in development simultaneously.
I have a First Class Honours degree in Gameplay Design and Production from Staffordshire University, where our direct connection to Unreal allowed us access to the then unreleased Unreal Engine 3 while we were learning. I also received a 6 week teaching course and 2 year mentoring from my time at Ten10, with their testing academy teaching new recruits the ropes of testing and getting them to take the ISTQB qualification test before sending them out to work with clients.
