I am an enthusiastic, qualified teacher with 21 years teaching experience, ranging from foundation to post-16 and have worked in independent preparatory schools and SEN schools. In 2004 I gained experience at Great Barr School in the Graphics dept working with post-16 students doing CAD and technical drawing. In 2004 I gained QTS and went onto complete a successful NQT year as an art teacher in Atherstone, Warwickshire. I have worked as a Primary teacher since 2005 and specifically a SEN teacher since 2011 which is my teaching preference. I am Ruth Miskin Phonics trained. I have RWI teaching experience with progression of pupils and am confident within EYFS/KS1 teaching and assessment also. Through my teaching experience, I have used 2Simple and Story Park Assessment tools and taken part in two successful EYFS moderations. I am passionate about the safety, academic success and the overall wellbeing of the children I teach and care for. I am naturally kind and nurturing and I love to play my part in and witness the successful, learning journey of the pupils I teach. I have experience of SEND, BESD, ASD, ADD, FAS, PD, PMLD, VI, EAL.
