Samantha Collins

Hi, I'm Samantha and I'm based in Kent. I am currently an Administration Officer at Ashford Inland Border Facility on behalf of HMRC.

As an administration officer, I am experienced in processing documentation and data in a fast paced environment and enjoy the challenges that it brings. I am self-motivated and confident at working independently. Equally, I work well in a team and use effective communication to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.

My previous experience in customer facing roles have allowed me to develop a high level of customer service and be proficient at providing good rapport. I enjoy working with others and emulating a positive and friendly attitude at work.

I started my career in the travel industry, working as an Air Stewardess at British Independent Airways and then as a Sales Assistant for Norwegian Cruise Line. I have also worked as a Stewardess on the Channel Tunnel and as a Customer Service Agent for Euro Tunnel.

After having children, I had a career change and moved to the education sector. This included numerous roles in primary schools as a Teaching Assistant and Nursery Practitioner. In between, I also took on customer facing roles in the retail sector for John Lewis and Tesco.

More recently, I have worked at the Ashford Inland Border Facility, firstly as a Booth Operator and Security Officer for Mitie and currently, an Administration Officer for Brook Street on behalf of HMRC.
