As a Reception Manager, I oversaw all front-of-house operations during weddings and related events. • Serve as the main on-the-day contact for the couple and their families
  • Ensure all specific requests and agreed-upon details are executed as planned
  • Liaise with vendors such as caterers, florists, DJs, photographers, and entertainers to ensure smooth delivery and setup
  • Oversee room layouts, seating arrangements, and décor setup
  • Supervise front-of-house staff, including waiters, bartenders, and coordinators
  • Brief staff on the day's schedule, guest needs, and any special instructions
  • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently
  • Handle last-minute changes, guest issues, or unexpected challenges with professionalism and calm
  • Act quickly to resolve any issues while minimizing disruption to the event

  • Monitor health and safety compliance and emergency procedures
  • Oversee the end-of-night wrap-up, including guest departure, packing of personal items, and coordination with vendors for equipment collection
  • Provide feedback to the team and report to venue management on event outcomes
  • Work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask with barista skills
  • Provide welcoming-drinks in a clean and professional manner
  • Setting up canapes and ensuring the refill/stock of them on the day so they do not run out for guests
  • Occasionally hosted events

Pharmacist - Geloo Brothers Ltd-Blackburn - Blackburn

(2023-06 - 2023-07)

During my work experience at a local pharmacy, I gained valuable insight into how medicines are dispensed and how the pharmacy team supports patients' health and wellbeing. I observed the daily responsibilities of pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, including checking prescriptions, preparing medications, managing stock, and ensuring accurate record keeping. I learned about the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and communication when dealing with customers and healthcare professionals.

I also developed my customer service skills by greeting patients, helping them find products, and understanding their needs in a professional and caring way. This experience helped me understand how pharmacies play a key role in community healthcare and gave me a greater appreciation of the pharmacist's responsibility in ensuring patient safety and promoting public health.
