I am a friendly fun and hardworking person that is keen to learn new skills. I am able to work as a team as well as on my own, depending on what is required at any given time. I am able to use my initiative both at work and out of work for any given task; I tend to set a target for my work and aim to accomplish the job within the time set.
I enjoy working with people as this gives me the opportunity to show my personality, and interacting with people on a daily bases give me the opportunity to learn new skills in order to progress in my career. I enjoy caring for people, both adult and childcare roles gives me the opportunity to developed new skills as a Carer.
The Royal Free hospital: June 2019 – November 2020 health care assistant volunteer
I happened to be in UK during the pandemic. My local hospital needed help as they were inundated with influx of people during the covid-19 pandemic; I decided to help out by volunteering as a healthcare assistant.
My role as a healthcare assistant volunteer: I worked under the supervision of senior nurses and my main role was to serve meals and help to feed patients, help people to move around and make beds when required. I felt that in most cases the patients just needed a friendly face to talk to and with my personality I was able to talk to the patients and make them feel comfortable. I enjoined this role so much and I would like to continue my career in health
