I am a psychotherapist looking for a part time career change in something that contrasts to my current career. During my MSc in psychotherapy and my 5 years work experience I have developed my skills in the following:

Experience

Counsellor and Well being therapist

Edward's Trust, Edgbaston.

Face to face/remote counselling & wellbeing sessions in a bereavement setting.

Counselling sessions provide a space to speak through bereavement journeys and if appropriate discuss other emotional issues that have been magnified by a persons bereavement.
Wellbeing sessions provide the opportunity to explore the physical effects of grief and stress. Complimentary therapies such as yoga, massage and mindfulness are then tailored to the individual needs of the client. Soft Goal setting is also used so clients are empowered to take control of their own wellbeing in their lives outside of the service.
Management and organization of events and groups for both counselling & wellbeing clients.
Communication and Co working provides our clients with a solid foundation of support.
Experience Working with complex issues that arise out of bereavement and effect how a person grieves: Social anxiety, identifying complex needs (ADHD & Autism), preparation for assessment, safeguarding and multidisciplinary working.
