It is my goal to work in events such as PAX East and Comicon in paid full time employment, to which i recently volunteered as an events assistant at Comicon Portsmouth 2022. I had fun at that event because i got to use a prop lightsaber to help in my crowd control duties during a walkthrough experience on the days i worked, as well as assist people via lift access to attend the walkthrough experience.
I have also become an events planner via Hartlepool Borough Council and High Speed Training food hygiene for catering, allowing me to take on important roles within a given event if required.
Although i have no direct experience managing and directing an event, i believe i can bring my creative mindset to a business, looking for opportunities to improve or create more sales for an event. I would excel at events that allow interaction for customers, such as Comicon Portsmouth because they are fast paced events that require thinking on your feet and quick decisions that can impact on the experience either in the moment or throughout the day.
