I am a Master's student in Artefact Studies with a double Bachelor's in Art History and Anthropology looking to join the professional Gallery and Museum world.
I am in the process of getting a Master of Arts in Artefact Studies from University College London and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Anthropology from Southwestern University. My excavation experience includes participation in archaeological digs in Oman, where I cataloged artifacts, managed GIS and Total Station tasks, and engaged in experimental archaeology. In the museum sector, I served as an Arts of the Americas Intern at the Dallas Museum of Art, gaining experience in exhibition management, object entries, and in-depth research.
Additionally, I worked as a Visitor Engagement Intern at The Foundling Museum, handling front desk duties and conducting research on gender and sexuality topics.
In terms of research, I have a strong background in studying ancient art and symbolism, including Moche sex pottery, Chinese pictorial bricks, and religious imagery in historical mosques. I have presented their findings to university faculty and demonstrated analytical skills in analyzing cultural and historical contexts. As a leader, I served as President of Pirates for Pride at Southwestern University, implementing policy changes and advocating for LGBT+ students.
My mentoring experience includes guiding study-abroad students and coordinating community engagement efforts through events and social media campaigns.
I will have a Master's degree in Artefact Studies from UCL, expected 9/24. I have a double Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Anthropology from Southwestern University (Texas, USA).
