Berlinguette. Electrochemical hydrogenation using a palladium membrane reactor for electrification of the chemical manufacturing sector. Electrodeposition of catalyst layers. Material/product analysis by MS (GC, atmospheric), surface techniques (e.g.
SEM, XRF), and NMR. Preparing and reviewing grant proposals, patents and examiner responses, and high-impact scientific publications. Mentorship of PhD and co-op students. Work with industrial collaborators.
Management and maintenance of group laboraties and equipment. P
PHD STUDENT at The University of Warwick with Prof.
Macpherson. Extensive experience in electrodeposition and electron microscopy techniques. Carbon material analysis and characterisation including electrochemical techniques, UV-Vis spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
New methods for synthesising boron doped diamond electrodes. Optimisation of electrode properties to maximise electrocatalytic oxidation of water to ozone. Preparation of written reports and publication quality articles to peer reviewed journals.
Mentorship of MSc students. Delivered oral and poster presentations to both national and international conference audiences. Presentation and discussion of data to supervisor, research group, collaborators, and advisory board.
Experimental design, data analysis, and problem solving. Project management including organising meetings, coordinating industrial and partner University collaborators, and recording outcomes and actions. Delivered small group workshops and laboratory demonstrating to undergraduate students.
