- Project Description :
The oil refinery upgrade project is being implemented by state-owned South Refineries Company (SRC), which is a part of Iraq’s Ministry of Oil. The refinery expansion project is intended to increase the output of gasoline and other oil products in the existing refinery and reduce the country’s dependency on imported petrochemical products. The upgrade project will increase the refinery’s gasoline production capacity to 19,000 barrels per day (bpd) and diesel fuel production to 36,000bpd. The project includes work on several refiner units, including a fluid catalytic cracking unit (34,500 barrels/day); a vacuum distillation unit (55,000 barrels/day); a diesel desulfurization unit (40,000 barrels/day); and more. The lump-sum contract amounts to approximately 400 billion JPY ($3.75 billion).
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding the work scope, all contract documents, project specifications and assisting manager in developing time schedules to meet them.
- Assisting in preparations of plans to meet the client’s specifications.
- Preparing and timely updating of Level 1 to Level 3 schedule as specified in the contract and scheduling procedures.
- Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and logical sequences of activities of each project stage.
- Preparation of lookahead schedule for execution team.
- Tracking of the project and prepare required reports: Daily, Weekly & Monthly Reports.
- S-curves for client, construction team & other teams for the comparison of plan vs actual and thereby suggesting and discussing the mitigation plans accordingly.
- Keeping track and monitoring on activities having a zero total float.
- Cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth running of the project.
- Developed recovery schedule & project analysis for the delay in progress.
- Tracking of the project and prepare required reports: Daily, Weekly & Monthly Reports.
- Project Analysis: Prepare presentable related S Curves and charts like for Earned Value Analysis, can analyze SPI-Schedule Performance Index, CPI-Cost Performance Indicators, Cost Variance, Schedule Variance, Progress Measurement System, and so on as per requirements.
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required
- Reviewing and preparing Meeting Minutes
- Event Recording: Maintain the event records to prepare Extension of Time – EOT later.

Offshore maritime export facilities located at Al Zour, Kuwait. Package 5 includes facilities such as
Testing for a solids pier, sulphur pelletizing/conveying, subsea outfall lines, a construction dock,
An offshore sea island (U93) and a small boat harbour.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing and updating the project schedule based on the contract by using P6 & MSP
- Monitoring critical activities based on the project schedule and advise project management.
- Preparation and submitting updating work program and showing actual progress
- Participation in project meetings and discussions with the client, construction team, commissioning team, turnover team, maintenance & operation team as required
- Planning & monitoring of topside equipment installation & pipe rack modules installation.
- Planning & scheduling of onshore & offshore activities.
- Preparation and updating of weekly & Monthly schedules in primavera.
- Preparation of look ahead schedule to track the progress.
- Updated the actual progress and all related information & comparison analysis.
