Experience
Associate Engineer Trainee - L&T Technology Services (LTTS) – Plant Engineering Division
(2026-07)
- Converted from Engineering Intern to Associate Engineer based on performance and project contribution.
- Support development of Process Design Packages (PDPs) for a 10,000 TPA MEA greenfield project, contributing to detailed engineering and design activities.
- Review Equipment Lists, Line Lists, IPDS and P&IDs for technical accuracy prior to IFD (Issued for Design) release, supporting project schedule and quality standards.
- Apply chemical engineering fundamentals and engineering documentation standards to support cross-functional (process, piping, instrumentation) project execution.
Process Engineering Intern - L&T Technology Services (LTTS) – Plant Engineering Division
(2026-01 - 2026-06)
- Completed a structured 20-module training program covering FEED, DPDT, IFF, IFA, and IFC project phases (Basic through Detailed Engineering).
- Performed hydraulic calculations and pressure-drop analysis using KORF Hydraulics; supported thermal rating calculations for shell-and-tube heat exchangers using HTRI.
- Prepared technical documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, equipment lists, tie-in lists, and process data sheets.
- Studied engineering codes and standards (API, ASME, TEMA, IS, BIS), PSV sizing methodology, HAZOP/LOPA techniques, and process safety fundamentals.
- Gained working exposure to refinery process systems, utility systems, separator sizing, and storage tank design.
Summer Process Engineering Intern – FCC Unit - Nayara Energy Ltd., Vadinar - Vadinar
(2025-05 - 2025-06)
- Studied end-to-end operation of a 3.7 MMTPA Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) within a 20 MMTPA refinery.
- Analysed FCCU revamp performance data, quantifying propylene yield improvement from 3.68 wt% to 11.75 wt% and LPG yield improvement from 12.05 wt% to 32.40 wt%.
- Performed material and heat balance calculations and equipment sizing across reactor, regenerator, and fractionation sections.
- Determined catalyst circulation rate of 1,860 MT/hr and catalyst-to-oil ratio of 4.33 through engineering calculations.
- Sized a 400 m³ VGO feed surge drum, including pressure vessel sizing and nozzle reinforcement calculations.
- Interpreted HTRI-generated thermal rating calculations and design output for shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
