I have three years of experience as a store worker including well-rounded skill set in receiving, moving , storing, protecting and issuing with strong adherence to relevant procedures, SOPs and company policies. My previous roles included successfully receiving and verifying materials before storage,ensuring they have the exact materials, in the precise quantity and out of damage; I posted stock movement in the ERP system ,loaded and unloaded trucks, verified Goods Receipt Notes and Invoices , stocked items while working collaboratively with my peers and the Supervisor to maximize efficiency.
I am fueled by my passion to be a professional in whatever I do, and this afforded me an opportunity to hone my multitasking, organisational, computational , interpersonal and communication capabilities providing a solid foundation in my career.My background in procurement, where I wore the hat of a Volunteer Procurement Assistant at the County Government of Kisumu informed my decisions on matters procedures,processes and the necessary documentation needed when receiving,storing and dispatching materials
Meanwhile, i vastly contributed to the efficiency of the supply chain by coming up with better store lay out to streamline operations; determined organisation and arrangement of stock to maximize on space, loaded & unloaded trucks safely, performed accurate data entry using Excel & Word software programs, evaluated inbound and outbound stock to ensure accuracy and quality, moved materials to and from storage areas very fast to meet tight deadlines.
i believe dedication and mindfulness at the workplace is the key to success - a tenet that i have lived with in every aspect of my work. I am currently out work due to lay off with no expected return, a move the company took to cut on cost as result of Covid-19 economic crisis. I am looking forward to resuming my career to enhance my professional growth and achieve set goals.
