Oxana Bychenko

My name is Oxana, and I am a third-year student at the RANEPA, majoring in Psychological Counseling and Coaching. I am interested in how people make decisions and perceive products, and I know how to measure it.

I conduct quantitative experimental research (ANOVA, scale-based measurements) and have studied product testing and consumer research at Ipsos. I want to work at the intersection of user behavior and data, where analytics directly contributes to product development

• Studied quantitative methods in marketing research, including research design, methodology selection (sequential vs. monadic, CLT vs. HUT, blind vs. branded testing)
• Completed practical product testing assignments: developed research proposals for real cases, including testing an anti-aging sunscreen cream by Dr.Rashel vs. competitor Dr.Sebagh and testing new potato chip flavors in different consumption contexts
• Practiced developing product concepts using the structure Insight + Benefit + RTB (reason to believe)
• Worked with action standards and interpreted consumer evaluations to support product decisions

Topic: “Differences in the evaluation of moral statements depending on whether the author is perceived as AI or a human”

• Designed and conducted an experimental study with a sample of 65 students, using variance analysis (two-way and three-way ANOVA)
• Found that agent type (AI vs. human) does not have a significant effect on the perception of moral judgments; the results differ from the dominant findings in the literature, including studies published in 2025
• Identified a contextual effect: the perception of AI and humans differs depending on the type of moral situation (dilemma vs. advice)
• Presented the work at the 5th International Conference on Social Neuroscience in Ecologically Valid Conditions at HSE University
• Winner of the HSE Student Research Competition in the category “Psychology” (2025; award ceremony in 2026)
