Senior Case Worker with the Singapore Association for Mental Health Group Homes from 07/2022 to the present, previously was a case worker from 01/2021 to 06/2022. Group Homes is a psychiatric rehabilitation home that aims to assist our clients in reintegrating back into society. I led a team of 2 other case workers in overseeing needs of up to 36 residents at the residential home. I supervised the junior case workers on complex cases and complications that may arise on top of duties of a case worker. I also worked closely alongside the Program Head and Senior Assistant Director to facilitate case discussions and review processes within the home to better help the residents.
I completed my Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours (Psychology) in the National University of Singapore from 08/2016 to 05/2020. During the course of my studies, I did modules such as Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Advanced Clinical Psychology. I also interned at the Institute of Mental Health from 05/2019 to 11/2019, where I conducted research and literature reviews and learnt basic coding (MATLAB) by myself to write codes to sort and analyze data. I worked closely with a professor to plan, organize, and execute a series of weekly informal group sessions with 3 OCD patients. I also attended clinical sessions to observe and help the professor to administer questionnaires to the patients.
